Description: Third Coast Broadcasting Company LLC was formed by media-industry veterans to create quality local, regional and nationally syndicated programs. A goal of the company is to capitalize on the growing movement to produce Television programs in Nashville, Tennessee. Recent history has shown that the entertainment industry is attracted to Nashville, because of livability, affordability and quality of life and its reputation as “Music City U.S.A.” Recent history has shown that Nashville has attracted many national music programs away from New York and L.A. Many major artists either reside in the Nashville area or visit frequently to record. The mission of the company is to entertain, enrich and enlighten through the Arts using Multi-media platforms (Television, Radio and Internet) to communicate the message. Each project the company takes on will endeavor to contain a “give back” element. The landmark “Live from B.B. Kings” is a great example. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center in Indianola, Mississippi. The “Tribute to Freedom” broadcast series will benefit “Operation Homefront,” an organization that helps the families of the soldiers serving overseas. The Internet components of each product to extend the brand and reach are paramount. Sites like Hulu and MySpace music are precursors of the future, where people go to social network and acquire programs to view. Advertisers are beginning to understand the value of being intertwined into active web elements in addition to recognition on-air. The Television Production business is a challenging venture, but the emergence of digital technology, combined with a demand for quality programs can create an environment for success. By partnering with other established entities (like Paul Whitehead’s 350 and Caroyln McDonald) Third Coast Broadcasting can cut through the clutter to create unique and landmark products.
