Otopy was founded with a mission to make search more effective. The founders created Otopy because they were frustrated with search in general and Google in particular. Early attempts at enabling users to find information relied on a hand-built directory of websites grouped into topics or categories (e.g. Yahoo!). That approach was largely supplanted by Google, which indexes web pages according to “importance” (i.e. how many other pages link to a given page) and then finds results through hypertext matching of keywords. Otopy renders both processes obsolete with its novel approach to search.
Otopy provides a contextual, multi-language capable search technology that enables seekers of information or products to find relevant results and relevant ads that they would not otherwise find using a directory structure or by searching on keywords. Otopy’s artificial intelligent engine does everything automatically and without human intervention.
