The RGB Team has developed a new innovative, green, patent pending, "hands free" robotic grit blaster system, that propels an abrading particulate material (grit). Each joint after being welded must be cleaned to create a profile on steel pipe prior to coating. The entire steel pipe must be coated to a legal standard before a permit is issued to bury it. Today the steel pipe industry manually sandblasts each 12 inch joint after welding and then coating is applied in the field.
“Think Green” was and is our company's mandate to create, green, energy efficient technologies for the surface preparation for gas pipeline industries. The new RGB system is completely pollution free and saves lives by eliminating silica dust poisoning inhaled by laborers.
