Description: Sconers Cafes are THE next sensation in breakfast food and lighter fare, especially on the healthier side, with the flagship store located in beautiful and historic Klamath Falls, Oregon, inhabiting an old gas station in the heart of down town. Start with their 70’s vide and decor and follow along the way through the carefully and artfully prepared scones, both savory and sweet, along with the appropriate (and not!) accompaniments and healthy salads, soups, and quiches (incorporating daily specials) and sumptuous home-made (like Mom’s) desserts. Fine teas and coffees will be served along with fresh juices. It that were not enough, a rip-roaring Sunday brunch will be served from 11:00 to 4:00 weekly, featuring such delectables as a weekly special eggs “Benediction”, shrimp Remoulade salad, cheesy grits, and Seafood gumbo. The desire would be to establish future locations that would appreciate the pun in the name of the café, preferably in bustling urban areas such as Portland, etc. Anywhere (starting with at least) recreational marijuana is legal. From there, the ultimate would be to have an online presence as well, as the main product, scones, are extremely durable, keep fresh for long periods, and can easily be reheated. Offering more than two DOZEN flavors every day, this is a craze which could quickly catch on. There are actually several other finer restaurants in the area which could provide some competition, but I think would serve to drive business as well, as this concept would fill an empty niche. Management (front and back) would consist of a Johnson & Wales graduate and the holder of a MA in Organizational Leadership from University of the Rockies. The owner of the property is extremely interested in talking about almost all offers, and I believe is prime for such an idea as this. We are extremely open to discussing any and all options of partnership with equity ownership, etc. and look forward to hearing from anyone interested in a FUN new concept.
