Description:
The power of sound is everywhere let “Omni” get you out thereBusiness Summary: Omni Records offers project management and independent artist
services for the entertainment industry through a network of trained professionals affiliated with (URL removed). We are here today because we believe that there is no service of this type in existence. We are seeking $200,000.
Customer Problem: Anyone can create music projects with a home studio. However, they do not always have the expertise to turn their project into a viable revenue stream, as they do not have the expertise to handle all areas of their project. Omni enables grass-roots artist to use our entertainment business services, whether it is a person or the internet, to complete their media project.
Product or Service: Omni Records is a full-service recording artist project management company based in Nashville, Tennessee, which specializes in producing all popular mainstream genres of music that require marketing, venue and audio support. Omni will focus on a much-needed grass-roots launching pad for all aspects of the music industry from a marketing and project management standpoint. These client performers will promote projects
in selected genres of music and revenue will come from billed client artists. By servicing these artists needs online for publishing, digital sales, marketing, and then demonstrating them at the weekly sponsored showcase events, as part of the concert series sponsored by Omni.
Management: The current management of Omni Records is CEO/President Gary L King Jr. gives Omni Records an excellent team to transfer from the Bobo Records Staff. Mr. King previous technology experience as an Electrical Engineer, Project Manager, Recording Artist, Song Writer and Producer will help create a smooth transition to the Omni Records joint venture. After successfully managing Bobo Records, he is ready to acquire the backing to
finance the Omni Records brand.
Target Market: There are many ways we will be successful in a sizeable Nashville, Atlanta and South Florida market. Thus, targeting artist, musician, producer, and programmers and yes, even other labels (URL removed)i targets the new music business model by aligning itself with
strategic partnerships. This business is very different from even 5 years ago and project management offers services to a wide range of individuals and corporate service in these markets ((URL removed), n.d.)
Sales/Marketing Strategy: Omni sells services and products via public relations campaigns on a daily basis using social media, Internet marketing, and a mobile Bluetooth technology. We sell three service products and one key retail product, which are billed by invoicing the client net 30 or any other form of payment options we agree to in a written
contract. Most transactions process via our website.
Business Model: Omni plans to produce and promotes mainstream Christian, Hip-hop, Pop, Dance, Jazz, Alternative Rock and R&B. As the biggest market includes Hip-hop, we have identified and selected several artists who are interested in our cost saving pre production services. Using electronics production lowers cost about one third compared to other music genres allowing us to offer a greater ROI to our investors.
Competitors:
Omni’s competition includes Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and EMI. The disadvantage with these major label services is artist receive unfair deals that minimize their control and creative process. However, we provided exceptional service quality and value to the entry-level artist.
Competitive Advantage: Advantages of our services are people will have the freedom to work with whomever we like and build closer “Working Relationships”, because we have smaller staffs and smaller rosters, and minimal overhead. Since larger major labels have relatively complex contracts we create more value with more than a handshake and a profit
split agreement as Omni currently offers the best “Artist Friendly Deals” (McDonald, 2010).”
