Corey Smyth Corey Smyth is a music industry veteran who is considered one of the business’ most enterprising, dedicated and visionary executives. He is the founder of Blacksmith Management and Blacksmith Music Corp guiding the careers of some of today’s most world-renowned artists, including Mos Def, Talib Kweli, David Banner and Lil Jon. Corey successfully moved into film and television years ago co-producing Dave Chappelle’s Block Partyand executive producing The Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975, which debuted at Sundance 2011. For three seasons, Corey was both the Music Producer and Talent Coordinator for the hit TV series, Chappelle’s Show and has become a staple with the international music communityas well securing talent – which included Jay-Z, Stevie Wonder and the Smashing Pumpkins - for the Summer Sonic Festival in Japan; one of the world’s largest music festivals. Something Cool. Something Cool follows four twenty-something misfits who've 86'd their old lives to start anew in Brooklyn. Brandon, an unsuccessful musician, left Ohio in hopes to be heard while busking the city streets; Lisa, a pot-loving sculpture student, searches for sexual independence and a new living arrangement after coming out of the closet to her homophobic tea-partying grandfather; Justin, a (URL removed) semi-functional alcoholic, ditches the family business for the much romanticized pipe-dream of becoming a writer; and Kyle, devastated by the unexpected death of his girlfriend, leaves the funeral home on a whim via motorcycle to find his estranged cabbie father, and ultimately, himself. The four strangers, unified by a sketchy love triangle, become roommates, and struggle together to overcome their personal demons- all while facing the trials and tribulations New York City dishes out. Gully Gully is an anti-coming of age story of three insolent, yet charming, murderous skateboarders growing up fast in the streets of LA. All products of bad upbringings, Calvin "The Possessed," Jesse "The Tormented," and Nicky "The White Boy" seek what they want and destroy anybody in opposition to it, with un-earthly malice. Whether it's sniffing meth, nonchalant hit and runs, bagging mature women or team impregnating their friend Keisha, the gang of friends remain true to each other while saying f*ck the world, "Let's move to Venus." With nodesire to fix the living hell they grew up in, the three demented musketeers ultimately get what's coming to them...a little unsolicited advice and a little bit of hard time.
