I plan to re-open an existing racetrack. Petty Raceway is a 1/3 mile semi-banked asphalt oval track located at 34 Campbell Rd. River Glade N.B. It first opened on October 9, 1983. It began with a regular racing program but became a specials events only track. The track was last used on Sept 23, 2000 for a MASCAR race. The owner throughout its history was Jerry Campbell. It is quoted from Canadian Racer” To call Petty Raceway a “ghost track” is a little misleading - it’s in great shape. Virtually everything is intact and Ernie reports that the electricity was still connected. It appears that it would be ready to use again with only about a week’s worth of maintenance.”
