Description: I have always dreamed of owning a childcare center that would be above the rest. When the company I have worked for the past 20+ years sold out and left all of the employees without jobs I decided now is the time. Which the birth of my first grandson in 2007 my daughter and son in law and I visited most every childcare center in the city and we found that very few put pride in the appearance, the decrease in employee turnover is continues which affects the type of care our children receive and why can't these center be fun looking, safe with bright colors and those things that make children happy to be there. The childcare Center I am opening will set a higher standard for the childcare centers in this area. That standard will say our children are important and when their parents aren't able to be there due to an obligation to earn a living for their families they have Amherst Christian Academy where they can know that their children are in a safe, fun, clean, organized, and with trained employees and they are not going in on a regular basis and presented to a different person for their care on a weekly, monthly basis. The Center will be colorful and will attract children as a loving fun place to be. I would like to add that the facility that I have located is in the center of over 39 subdivisions with over 5200 families within a five miles radius of the school with children 6 months to 12 years of age. We also are working toward offering computer classes for adults in our library that will also be used on a daily basis for tutoring our school age children and assisting them with their homework assignments.
