I want to start a business that includes running an environmentally friendly business that transports items such as boats, fifth wheel trailers and cars around the United States, Canada and Mexico in a reasonable and reliable way. The transportation of items such as campers, boats using bio-diesel/solar powered trucks. I want to start a garage to maintain alternate fueled/environmentally friendly vehicles. I want to run an energy, fully self contained house and I want to educate others using the experiences found in the running of this business and home via the world wide web.
I have drivers, ace mechanics and myself all dedicated to making this business work. I have push to talk phones, CB units, a basic website, and office equipment. I would need money to get business license, DOT/MC #'s and the truck and trailer as well as the money to get land, garage and equipment and of course the money to buy the bio-diesel fuel, solar panels and such equipment. I have a full business proposal with a break down of moneys needed (with the construction of the garage and land purchase- $400,000.00) (with just the truck and expenses such as licensing - $100,000.00)
Assuming this amount is able to be fully funded, this project could see a profit of approximately $50,000.00 in the first year and a profit of $150,000.00 over the next three years with a running overhead cost of $30,000 per month ( including salaries, insurance and benefits) Thus making the investment in this company a profitable endeavor. (As this is a start up business, all these figures are based on current fuel costs and average business service costs and fees)
Using free or low cost websites such as U-ship to bid on shipping business and also using free or low cost commercials on local radio station with web audiences makes drumming up business easier then just word of mouth. The company should see a profit right from the beginning because bio-diesel fuel is cheaper than regular diesel fuel and the over-head is cut considerably because of the online correspondences. This business is geared toward helping the environment by allowing for less fossil fuel vehicles to be on the road that are transporting boats and such. It is the snow-birds of Florida and other areas that can downgrade from large trucks to smaller cars while having the peace of mind that they are also helping the environment by using a green company that will be the “meat and potatoes” of this business. It is a company that will employee the use of local business to run the business and carry out our day to day lives. The staff is made up of the president of a similar company and his cousin as well as a former teacher and business owner.
