In 1997 I staaarted my third truck repair company, High Deasert Truck Serevice, Inc. (State of Nevada) and it was very sucessful. After retiring I moved to Las Vegas, got married (bad mistake)split up with my "Bride" lost all of saved money. I am now living in Searchlight, Nevada, a very small town approx. 50 mile south of Las Vegas, 70 mile north of Needles, California. The town is located on Highway 95, the only route from I-40 to Las Vegas. It is a very busy highway for trucks, there is ONE truck stop along the entire 100 mile stretch, a Terible Herbst that has fuel OMLY. There are no services in the area. The closest service is 45 miles away in Henderson, Nevada. This means time in getting service for the trucking industry and money, they all charge milage. I have customers from my past that are willing to use me i,eaditly and many others that willl use me once I am started up.
I will do 24 hour truck service, mobile rad service and will do tire work along the enntire streach of Highway 95. I will not vharge milage, however, I will charge a two hour minimum. This will cover fuel. My part/tire cost will be my cost plus 35%. My labor cost, $65.00 per hour. This is within the normal labor cost, the part cost a little below the norm.
I have most of the required tools, compressors, welding equipment in my shop now. I need two thrucks, one large mechaniacl truck for road repairs on diesel powerd equipment and one for tire service. I also need working capital for one years operation.
The total required for one years operation, inventory, tires, fuel, ofice suppies including a computer, sales and loan payments is $35,000.00.
