UBEHL is a holdings company that owns and operates a subsidiary in Haiti named UNIQUE COMPAGNIE D'ASSURANCE VIE, S.A. "UCAVSA". The name of the company is in French and stands for UNIQUE LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY, INC. This company is fully incorporated as a life insurance company, and published in the Country’s Official Journal (Le Moniteur) December 3, 2015 Edition.
That Caribbean nation has a population of 10 million people. So far, we have a customer base of 1,500 insureds projected to expand to 25,000 in the year 2016. The operations strategy anticipates annualized premiums revenue of $3.7M of which 57% for overhead expenditures, including claims, taxes, and returns to investors. The remaining 43% will be deposited in the insurance reserve funds.
UBEHL, the parent company, is the Administrative Office of UCAVSA from which it earns an income based on a $10 annual fee per policy in force from premiums revenue. We seek to raise $500,000 of Equity contributions for a 20% stake of the LLC Income.
The funds will be used for Hiring, for expansion by setting up annex offices in several locations of the country to reach our target market, and for operating Capital.
Insurance success rests on the law of large number and our plan includes hiring several hundred agents on commissions only, which will allow us to reach a larger segment of the population. We currently have 30 employees at our Home Office Route Frères 27, Pétion-Ville, Haiti, serving our growing customer base. Although the number of competitors keeps growing, yet the product we offer is best suited to meet the demand of the population, as it is designed for suitability into the Haitian economy.
