Description:
We are the combination of two companies. Mine is a quilting/restoring quilts company, and Roger's is a wood milling, turning company. I take people's quilt tops and either restore them or quilt them from scratch. I also make memory quilts and can either add photos, write poetry, to go with the quilts, or make wedding quilts, etc. Roger is a certified arborist, who has collected wood for over 30 years and uses native Missouri wood in his work. We have written stories from the trees he has cut down, some quite historical and plan to open our business in a little historical village alonog the Mississippi in southeast Missouri. Roger's cousin has written 2 historical books, and we feel the time is right for a play to be written about Ste. Genevieve and local people to act the history of the community. There is nothing like our idea in the entire area. Our building, that we are looking at, is quite reasonable, as the lady is elderly and her children live out of state and just want to "get rid of it." It is on Market Street - right in the heart of the historic district, with plenty of parking, ready to be used. It was renovated just four years ago and is sitting there waiting for our type of business.
