Description: Hello! My name is Ed Bauer. I’m am excited in noticing your potential involvement in the development of one of those “Edible Cricket Farms”. The way I crunch the numbers, its pretty obvious to me that there is incredible potential for gain and growth. We’re talking about 750,000 to a 1,000,000 crickets in less than 1500 sq-ft area. And at a selling point of $.10 a gram, and at a weight of .07155 grams cooked per cricket we’re looking at $5366.25 to $7155 dollars worth of product in a six week breeding cycle. As far as expenses go, we’re looking at purchasing 400ish plastic storage tote, the industry standard cricket housing, at $5 per unit. Also I’m undecided if canning such a product would be better than bagging it at such an early point. Current competitors have expensive looking bags, factory sealed. I wouldn't even know how to break into doing that, but a roll of labels, and a canning machine and cans, is a reliable expense, that I could do in house. I am interested in farming out cheaper solutions for all aspect of the process.
