Description: Arcanum Entertainment is a California-based Limited Liability Company founded to produce APOTHEOSIS, the first installment of a SciFi trilogy of Biblical proportions, with franchising options for the trilogy, graphic novels and video games. AFTER AN UNFATHOMABLE SPACECRAFT CRASHES TO THE SURFACE OF HIS WORLD, AN ORPHANED PRINCE LOOSES HIS INNOCENCE AS HE IS HUNTED BY A SECRETIVE FRATERNITY TO PREVENT THE TRUTH OF THEIR ORIGINS FROM BEING REVEALED. Recent studio releases of the Science Fiction genre have seen good to excellent returns with a worldwide theatrical average of US $349.9 million with an average adjusted production budget of US $78.5 million. Of the top 50 highest grossing theatrically-released films of 2013 so far, 10 are Science Fiction. While adhering to industry standards regarding structure, pacing and character arcs, APOTHEOSIS is original content that offers a new and exciting twist on the genre: humans are the aliens to a distant culture, and their arrival sparks conflict amongst their religiously devout. While studios have typically shied away from religious themes, the recent hits “The Blind Side” and television’s immensely successful “The Bible” have made their mark on demographics and audience interest. Combined with other religious-themed studio releases of the past decade, studios are finding that properties like APOTHEOSIS are not only attractive to audiences, but are profitable. Industry analysis from The New York Times-owned Baseline Intel suggests that films of this genre and scope stand to perform well in domestic and foreign markets during the spring / summer Blockbuster seasons with proper marketing strategies. The core team of this project has already implemented the various strategies and technologies to be used in this film, with members having been responsible for over $500,000,000 in production financing in both studio and independent films, as well as Academy Award nominations and wins.
