Description:
OregonBoyz is an idea stemming from Oregon's rich outdoor life. Oregon is a beautiful state with a plethora of outdoor activities to be involved in. Many people in Oregon though are out of work, can't find work, or in the worst cases have given up on the job market.
OregonBoyz is simple. Create a wholesale business with outlets at auctions as well as a strong online presence and eventually retail locations. The principle is quite simple, offer goods at discounted costs to the consumer by acquiring overstock and closeout merchandise at auctions or through various liquidation outlets. There are actually two goals here; first, create a way for people to purchase the equipment that they want or need to get out and do the things they love to do in the outdoors. The second, and most important goal, is to provide jobs to the community in the near future and make a direct impact the near 9 percent unemployment rate in the Salem, OR area.
As the originator of the OregonBoyz concept, I will be putting two to three thousand dollars of my own money into this project right away. I strongly believe that this is all I will need at minimum to get this started. I want to make it clear that I am confident in the idea to the point of putting money that is directly connected to mine and my family's livelihood on the line.
Through the month of March 2013, I, aided by my father's MBA and BS in Software Engineering, will be acquiring merchandise through liquidation firms and reselling it through an eBay store as well as holding an auction through a local auctioneer who has had successful experience in conducting this type of auction. All proceeds from this initial launch will go directly into reinvestment and expansion. Once enough capital has been raised, the business will be incorporated and it is likely that a physical retail outlet site will be established.
I believe that the most successful ideas are simple.I truly want to make an impact on the job market as quickly as possible. What is comes down to is simply having the funds to acquire merchandise, store it, and pay wages/ commissions to list the merchandise on eBay.
It is true, I am not a professional, but I am passionate. I love this state and it pains me to see it suffer. I want to see fewer families struggling and I want to take an active part in it.
Thank you for taking the time to read.
God Bless!
Oregon IS home!
