We are a group of New York based Scottish ex patriots and we write to enlighten you of HIGHLANDS NYC, a Scottish gastro pub opening October 2008 in Manhattan.
Highlands is the first of its kind in New York, as the few existing Scottish establishments (out numbered in the hundreds by their Irish counterparts!) are largely recognized as 'watering-holes' for homesick and nostalgic wanderers.
Together with Avroko: (URL removed) award-winning design team behind top New York restaurants PUBLIC and Quality Meats, partners Brian McGrory and Donal Brophy are to launch Highlands - New York's first upscale and authentic Scottish eatery.
