Ruby Reef has been manufacturing products for disease control in the aquarium hobby industry since 1998. The economic slowdown since 2008 has resulted in a sales decline of over 65%. We were determined to survive this by creating new products and broadening our customer base to include all pets. We have launched a product unique in the industry that is called SAFE PET Habitat Hygiene Spray. This product inhibits the growth of unwanted and harmful bacteria, mold, mildew, fungus, and algae. It is safe to use on and around pets and people. The product is nontoxic and biodegradable. We displayed SAFE PET at The H.H. Backer Spring Pet Tradeshow in Atlantic City this past April. The product got a lot of attention and was well received. One of the contacts from the show approached us about selling this product direct TV sales and we have entered into acontract with them. They will produce a commercial and test market to at least 100 commercials viewed by at least a million people and get at least 100 sales and then get into a manufacture/distributor relationship and distribute and sell this product "As Seen On TV" to all the retail outlets including Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Walmart, and Target. We're seeking investment income to pay the $8500.00 for ownership of the commercial and the funding for the bottles, labels, caps, boxes, and production costs in getting this part of our business going.
