My partners and me are currently developing a product called the Xscanner. It is currently in the prototype stage. It is being built by an engineering college overseen by a professor who has a vast knowledge of product development. He has been involved with 68 different patents. The prototype will be completed in early 2008 and then placed at a major hospital that has asked to be the Beta test site.
The Xscanner is unique as it will scan documents of any length and up to a 12” width at a high rate of speed . It will scan x-rays and overlays as well. The resolution is very high, so for instance, it will scan mammograms at a more than acceptable resolution It is very light in weight and therefore portable. It will also scan color documents.
