Description: I have an abridged summary of who and what EDS constitutes and some of our achievements and the future plans for roll out. Our unique Milling and Crushing technology with its low energy consumption due to its patented design and use of low energy motors, its portability and ability to run on generators, small footprint and reliant on very little Civils makes this as quoted from the mining engineering community the ‘Holy Grail’ of new innovation and energy efficient technology world wide. The EDS technology has also been tested to reduce the voids in logistics and thus make it more efficient to transport bulk materials, e.g. Railroad transport for coal in the USA. The world focus is on energy efficiency and hence our intention to capture a share of the USA and Europe markets, especially in light of the new political dispensation in the USA and the continued ‘Green’ pressure world wide, and then penetrate the Asian / East European markets with strong backing. EDS is at the threshold of international rollout and we are somewhat apprehensive to continue in China and India without this strong backing especially on the IP protection front. We have a contract with Alstom in Europe and we have worked together for close on three years to tweak the technology for rollout in major power stations in the UK. The Station Director at Eggbrough has visited SA / EDS a number of times and the first live units will go into the Eggbrough power station crushing Biomass, Coal and crushing for co firing the two input materials managed by Alstom. There are over 700 Mb of data and testing already completed and a full hard copy pack of the patents, rights and information memorandum completed in SA by Matumi Corporate Advisors who have prepared a full due diligence pack. EDS is looking for an investor that will either provide capital of $ 2 million to a maximum of $ 10 million depending on which strategy we employ for rollout, and in addition the funds will be used for purchasing the patents outright and rollout to Alstom in the UK / Europe and GEC / ANO in the USA, and the owners of EDS will underwrite a loan with personal balance sheets should this be required. Alternatively there is an opportunity to take a 20% stake in the business and become a shareholder, which can be negotiated. Matumi Corporate Advisors have written offers from a Singapore representative group, Spirit of Africa in SA, Sephaku Mining and an engineering concern to buy into EDS. We are looking at the bigger picture and would prefer a global player that will assist with capitalizing the business for the expansion into the UK through Alstom and Europe, plus China through Singapore or Prof Pan, who is from the Chinese government company, and the USA. This, as mentioned, would include the patent purchases of which we have an option currently. The opportunity for reclaiming the coal and mine dumps world wide for recycling and sale, Biomass opportunities [wood waste pellets already produced by our company], carbon credits and industrial and mining applications are numerous and this is part of the potential market. The Alstom engineers [x4 and ex chairman of ABB / Alstom, Eric Ratcliff] from the UK were in SA in February 2008 to finalize the changes they required for rollout which have all been completed. Please would you be so kind as to review the attached and if you wish to take this forward, please revert and we can discuss, but the ideal would be for you and your colleagues to see the units in operation by visiting Johannesburg, South Africa and meeting with the EDS team and the Corporate Advisors who have an international reputation and have put many major deals in place in SA and internationally.
