Description:
We are a Short Message Service (“SMS,” also known as “text messaging”) provider focusing on U.S. educational systems. Through our BeAlert-Ed (“BeAlert-Ed”) notification system, we plan to offer a quick, reliable and trusted method of text messaging notices and alerts to our subscribers (students or parents) within their respective
educational systems. These messages will be specific to each subscriber, based on criteria for which they “opt-in.”
Educators will have a free tool to communicate important information in a time sensitive manner directly to a student’s or parent’s cell phone or other text-messaging device.
The BeAlert-Ed notification system provides a simple, user friendly, and potentially revenue generating
communication tool for school districts. Educators can access this system anywhere where there is Internet access and send a short message to all of their students in a specific class, or group of classes at the college level.
Elementary/secondary level teachers will be able to keep parents updated on important information to help their students perform better in school and develop stronger study habits (future work ethic).
The BeAlert-Ed notification system is also being structured to eliminate costs to, and generate revenue for, each
school district or school that agrees to support and promote our service. Our competitors charge each school district or school for providing their notification system to parents. With our system, both the schools and the parents will receive the BeAlert-Ed notification services for free. We believe that this pricing policy will also make us less vulnerable to competition by others wanting to undercut prices. Our plan is to generate substantial revenues from advertisers attracted to our system by the defined demographic data we will be able to provide potential advertisers as our subscriber base
expands. Once we develop a large, stable and loyal subscriber base, we may decide to offer premium priced value added services to further increase our revenue stream.
Recent Developments... In January 2008, we entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with the
Haddon Elementary School (“Haddon”) located in Pacoima, California to begin a trial-testing phase for the BeAlert-Ed
notification system. Haddon is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District “LAUSD,” which is one of the largest
school districts in the U.S. We anticipate feedback from the trial by the fall of 2008. If the trial phase is successful, we intend to begin full-scale deployment of the BeAlert-Ed notification system throughout LAUSD by the beginning of the 2009 fall semester.
