Dog Days Ranch will be a limited liability company set-up and run by Deirdre Rusch.
Dog Days Ranch will be a canine day care and boarding facility catering to professionals who have disposable income and the desire to provide quality care for their pets while they are at work or on vacation. It is in response to a growing market for doggie day care and kennel-free boarding.
Dog Days Ranch purpose is also in response to an observation made by the owner, who does volunteer and foster work with the local animal control shelter. She noticed that a majority of the dogs in the shelters are adolescent dogs that people got as puppies and never bothered to train. Most of the dogs given up to the shelter were not exercised adequately or trained even basic manners; they became a nuisance to their owners and certainly no fun to be around. She sees day care as an opportunity to give dogs an appropriate outlet for their energies, as well as some structure and guidance, thereby making them a pleasure to be around and, hopefully, keeping more dogs in their homes and out of shelters.
