This is a spin-off of a restaurant that my uncle had years ago. It was the first “Hoagie House” in New York and it did very well. So well that Dr. Jay himself wanted to turn it into a franchise. Unfortunately my uncle had other ideas. He is no longer with us but to this day people are still asking our family when we are going to bring the restaurant back. We still have the same recipe that everyone loves but this time we’d like to bring in the community, create jobs and internships for young people who have nowhere to go after school. This dream has been eating at me for years and now that I’m at the end of my rope with nothing to lose, I figure this is the best place to start.
