Description: AlexaArt happened unexpectedly!! I was a part-time model & Marilyn Monroe impersonator, busy working as an assistant to a photographer and never once did I pick up a camera or was interested in utilizing it, it was never a thought in my mind! Until one day, I was asked to photograph some models from out of town because the photographer had to run out on a family emergency. I immediately said, I can't do it, I know nothing about camera's!! He said, your gonna have to and that was history! Long story short, the models loved the images and angles I shot! I still had no interest though, at some point I decided to work with an editing program on my off time. Then, one day...a friend of mine and I were out and about one day taking (URL removed) took some pictures of me as Marilyn and later on that evening sat down to edit. At that moment, AlexaArt popped in my head and I (URL removed)'s call it AlexaArt!! I didn't know what "It" was yet, I just knew the first thought that came to my mind after that was somehow being involved with women's shelters. That was 7 years ago...I then filed for my LLC in 2009. From that moment on, I started focusing on creating a signature style for AlexaArt and a way to make women feel beautiful inside & out. Instead of my life experience getting to me, I took that experience and made it a positive! I created specialized & affordable photography packages overtime focusing on women. We offered and still offer to this day, a complete bombshell pinup makeover from head to toe, which includes a personalized makeup artist, a variety of hairstyles, clothing, shoes, accessories & hair extensions, and a bit of therapy I might add. To add to the menu, we airbrush and remove skin imperfections and offer body modifications on each and every image our client chooses. This also includes several different styles of coloring & film effects. So, our clients come to us for much needed girl time, we completely transform them and they always leave feeling beautiful! Our style consists of old style with a modern twist and we book 1 shoot a day to focus on the specific need of each and every one of them! Our clients would enter into a 50's style vintage decor, ultra girly & upbeat, offering full-service makeup & styling! They would then be greeted by an assistant/employee(s) dressed as 50's style classic pinup. A snack & a non-alcoholic drink is offered. They would then be greeted by their personalized makeup artist who would take them on a tour of the studio and to meet the photographer. At that point, the makeup artist would talk one on one with the client to discuss clothing, hair & makeup styles & post photo-session options, etc, create the (URL removed)n off to the photo-session! Post photo-session, the client would review their entire session and choose their images to be purchased. They would then meet with an editor and choose 1 image to be retouched before ending their day at the studio. The idea is to show the client what options and features are available to them for retouching purposes. AlexaArt consists of 4 middle aged women who have teamed up with the same idea in mind of utilizing our creativity and combining that with an environment that is non-judgmental, drama free, upbeat & very girly!! Not only does our environment involve our specialty of glamour, pinup photography, but it's therapeutic in some sense. Not only do we take pride in re-making our clients and making them feel the most beautiful, they can also feel comfortable knowing that they can share things that may be going on in their lives, confidentially, during their photo-session.
