Hello! I have an idea for a nursing technical school. It is born out of my desire to get into a college nursing program in Connecticut. I applied and got into Gateway Community College. Their program only has 28 spaces. There is a state required test that is required to get in. Having passed the test and finished my pre-requisite classes, I was still unable to get in. The college raised the TEASE test score requirements and that eliminated me to have to wait until the following year to reapply. Colleges and universities require way too many hoops to have to jump through. Also, the courses are only accepted within 5 years so every year places you a year behind and in danger of you having to take these classes again. I was older when I enrolled so my years are valuable. I took nursing in High School, but my career was in law enforcement, I was a 911 operator, and ran a successful childcare for almost 18 years.
