I managed a Hallmark Store for 4 years, and have 20+ years in retail management as well as district management. After losing our lease at the Hallmark, I made my 23 year dream to own my own store a reality! I kept my top 25 vendors from Hallmark as my main allied product, and added about 55 of my own vendors of choice. We carry a large variety of gifts and I have for my main greeting cards start at 77 cents, regular line cards from $2.50. It has been opened for 2 months and because of how my loan was structured, I have no working capitol or nest egg to work with until the business takes off.
