Description:
A low-budget, extremely marketable urban stoner comedy looking for finishing/p&a funds. Please see (URL removed) for more details.
“Left and Loose in THE LOT” is a funny urban comedy about two stoner guys who work the night shift at a local parking lot, while secretly dreaming of becoming rap stars and ninjas for hire. One night the boys witness a murder taking place in the parking lot and their quiet evening takes an action-packed turn. Along the way they have to deal with extremely hot female assassins, undercover cops, police shoot-outs, the best weed that has ever existed on this earth and Black Jesus. (The last two may have something to do with each other.)
“Left and Loose in THE LOT” was written specifically to cater to several very profitable markets. As “The Hangover” proved with its $467 million worldwide theatrical gross in 2009 there is a market for R-rated, male-driven comedies. As Tyler Perry movies prove time and time again, there is also a market for movies with African American leads. The success (in the theaters and through DVD sales) of both “Harold and Kumar” films demonstrate the underground audience that exists for stoner comedies with a hint of action.
“Left and Loose in THE LOT” caters to all of these different markets and most specifically to Hollywood’s favorite demographic: 18-29 year old men. This will be extremely important when securing distribution for the film, as every distribution company is looking for a sure-fire hit, and nothing says sure-fire hit like a movie catering to the most loyal movie-goers - younger men.
