MISSION STATEMENT
FILM MAGIC Specialize in training in high-end computer graphics for the entertainment industries, primarily visual effects, animation and game development.
HISTORY
FILM MAGIC was founded by David Sam D, who was working as a visual effects artist. Sam spent much of his time at the production studios working with digital artist. He began to see a need for a school that taught the tools necessary to produce digital effects and animation. So he joined his hands with Venkatesh and Raghu to research all the available programs and found that all of them had shortcomings: Their teachers didn’t have production experience or they had only introductory-level courses. Sam, Venkatesh, and Raghu began to envision the perfect school. Thus the genesis of FILM MAGIC was formed.
But quantity is not what FILM MAGIC is about. Everything we do is aimed at providing the highest quality education possible. Our curriculum is developed in conjunction with continual input from our very active and distinguished Advisory Board. All of our courses are taught by production professionals who teach the tools that they use on a daily basis.
FACILTIES
FILM MAGIC is located in the center of the Kollywood production district.
Our 2000-square-foot facility features three computer labs furnished with a total of 50 state-of-the-arts, production-level workstations. An analog studio is home to courses such as Figure Drawing and Production Design. The remainder of our space is made up of a 20-seat screening room, a professional-level shoot/edit bay, kitchen and administrative offices.
Overall our facilities have been designed to create a production-like environment with an atmosphere conductive to creativity and learning.
