We are making a concerted effort to preserve the old world breeds of chickens(Malay,Shamo,Asil, as well as the original breeds of cornish chickens in both bantam and standard) and all of the varieties of bobwhite and Japanese(otherwise known as coturnix or pharaoh)Quail. At present, with feed prices ever-soaring, we are fightinga very uphill battle that I am afraid we are going to loose. We are seeking help from anyone who feels our cause is a just one. Please realize, in any consideration given, that if the current domesticated flock-bred chickens were to develope some sudden sickness that caused widespread death, there would be nowhere to go back to to reproduce those breeds.
