As a result of geography, talent, and state incentives the film, television and video industries have recently begun a
steady move to Connecticut. The increase in film-industry business revenue has grown significantly from $750 thousand
in 2006 to $300 million in 2007.
This increase has occurred in spite of the stated lack of an existing infrastructure for this kind of production. Producers
are having difficulty finding the services they need here, which creates an opportunity.
To create the core of this infrastructure, Clearlight Digital Studios (CDS) intends to build the premiere facility in Con-
necticut for digital film production. Designed specifically around the needs of these productions, our facility will house
several sound stages, lighting and camera equipment.
