My name is Dara I am a nurse who has been working as an RN for ten years. I live alone and recently decided I take my passion for the fashion industry as well as modeling into another direction. I have also modeled in the industry for years and still do and know what is stylish and what my generation would purchase. I have been an artist working with acrylic based paints for years and sold paintings on the side. Recently I started painting luxury fashion acessories and in the past few months realized I have a talent for designing clothing. Recently I started supplying a store in manhattan with my hand painted items. I realized that this industry is very cut throats and everyone wants a piece of the pie. What I mean is that every time I have an idea someone else wants to produce or create my idea for my clothing designs because I do not have the funds to start to buy items in bulk and then supply clothing stores with my clothes. I need a very small loan to get off the ground because financially I can't afford it. I love my job as a nurse however I want bigger and better for myself and to become a business woman of my own. Knowing that I can purchase a shirt I made myself for under 5 dollars and sell to suppliers for double that is killing me since I do not have the funds to just get off the ground.
