Description:
I am creating a day care. We will offer all day child care for ages infant to 6 years of age. We will offer an after school program for children through the sixth grade. We plan on providing busing and transportaion services for the after school program. We will offer round the clock babysitting services as part of our services. This service adds some cost but research shows that it can increast profits by 20-30%. My plans for this business vary. I basically have two directions available to me. I have a smaller version of my plan and also a big ambitious plan. Obviously i would prefer to be able to go with my big idea. I am trying to see what kind of funding i can acquire though before i can proceed much further than i have gotten. I would like to purchase a large empty ware house building and go in and remodel the building to my specifications. I would like to put in a computer lab for learning, an indoor playground, a kitchen facility for making meals, along with a few offices. My goal is to have enough space to operate a day care of 100 kids a month. Average day care in my area runs between 400-600 dollars. Many factors affect the prices. Things such as do you serve breakfast, are any of your staff members accredited teachers, what time do you allow parents to drop there kids off. Also the overall quality of the day care. I plan on charging 500 dollars per student. I feel that parents will be getting much more for there money than they do at current day cares.
