I own and opperate a Feline specialty practice. Acorn Acres Cat Clinic is thge oldest cat specialty practice in NH. I purchased this practice in July of 2006 using personal funds. At the time of purchase the practice was in the present location just less than a year. The practice was in a downward spiral that we have slowed and infact turned around but the location picked was very poor. With less than 200 cars a day passing this location it makes us a special trip and totally out of sight.
We practice standard allopathic medicine and synergize our treatments with complimentary and alternative therapies. Mainly we add herbal, homeopathy and flower essences with nutritional counciling.
The practice while growing since purchased is just shy of breaking even this year. The main issues have been caused by bad weather this winter and the economic down turn.
We have the opportunity to move the practice onto one of the main shopping areas of the city. We have a very willing Landlord willing to help with rent for the initial first 4 months. We also plan on branching the services out to dogs and cats in a unique way. The leasehold will allow us to build 2 hospitals one feline one canine side by side. We are unique in not having any compitition in the complimentary and altenative therapies and further unique in blending allopathic medice with it.
