FLITE has licensed a technology that treats the surface of materials (glass, metal and polymers) without chemical coatings. The resulting effect is a material that is superhydrophobic or superhydrophilic - permanently, using a clean process, and without changing the nature of the underlying material. Many manufacturers are interested in this technique because temporary coatings are inappropriate or ineffective for their product families. We are working with representatives in aerospace, automotive, medical devices, food and beverage, and oil and gas to bring this technique to market.
