Description:
I would like to start an independent record label in Akron, OH. I am not trying to compete with the major labels in the industry. We would sign Ohio talent and our core target audience would be Ohio and we would branch out from there. Next Level Records would act as a bridge for Ohio talent to take their career to the next level. By featuring in state talent, we accomplish three things. We save money on scouting and discovering talent. We get to see and hear this talent before the majors. We have the opportunity to deliver this talent to a larger label for a finders fee. Akron is the home town of many of musics star's, such as James Ingram, Howard Hewitt, Chrissie Hynde (of The Prentenders), The Black Keys, Devo and many more. Not to mention many more acts that have come from Cleveand, Canton, Cincinnati and the rest of Ohio.
