COMPANY OVERVIEW
Aura Renewable Energy Corporation (“Aura” or the “Company”) plans to develop alternative energy facilities that utilize anaerobic digestion (“AD”) and gasification technology to produce renewable natural gas (“biogas”) from agriculture waste streams. Aura plans to develop its biogas facilities primarily in close geographic proximity to (1) ethanol producers and (2) feedlots and dairy farms (collectively, “Hosts”) and utilize the Hosts’ ethanol by-products or animal waste stream as feedstock to generate biogas. The biogas can be supplied directly back to the Host creating a closed-loop renewable energy system or it can be placed into the natural gas grid for use off-site. The Company’s biogas facilities would utilize low-cost AD, the natural process of biological degradation of organic material in the absence of
air, and gasification, the conversion of carbon-containing material into a synthesis gas, to generate the biogas. Aura was founded in 2004, has eight employees and is based in St. Louis, Missouri.
