Description:
I have run a daycare in the north-end of San Bernardino, CA. since 1999. It has grown to be the most profitable/in demand daycare in the area. My daycare is full, and has a year-round waiting list. I offer above and beyond childcare - I offer affordable preschool programs, that represent the educational criteria set by the state. My daycare's slogan ... "the place where children learn and have a good time"... has represented the way that I believe preschool should be, and it has been a catch phrase creating business growth.
Over 60% of America's children are in daycare. There are about 40,000 commercial companies in the US-Childcare Industry. They have a combined revenue of $22 billion. There are also about 25,000 non-profit organizations with a combined revenue of about $10 billion. This is a lucrative business that ALSO benefits the future of our country. In educating our children, we are bettering the chance of raising happy, healthy, successful adults.
Investors that work with me in purchasing other successful daycare/preschools - are looking at positive results, and less risks than they are with many other investments. Childcare and preschool will not go out of style.
The Market:
The child care market is a competitive and lucrative business in southern California. There are over 300 different facilities. There are two general types of facilities. The larger style is commercially run, typically a corporate franchise center. These facilities are both regional and national. Currently, the four largest child care facility franchises in the USA account for 29% of the market. There are also many different smaller locally run and owned facilities. While the largest facilities can host between 20-100 children, many of the locally run centers typically have a maximum capacity of 20 children.
As mentioned earlier, the market is quite competitive. Our centers will employ two strategies to differentiate themselves. The first is a pricing structure where our services will be priced at 5%-10% less than the larger commercial run facilities. The second differentiating effort will be bench marked customer service. A customer-centric philosophy will be infused within the entire organization. We will spend extra money to attract and train the best employees. This is especially important because it is the employees that interact with both the children and parents and will have the best chance to impress them enough to turn them into a loyal customer as well as to be vocal in telling their friends about their positive child care experience.
The Customers
We will be concentrating on our target audience - families with young children. We are located in a growing area, of middle class and upper middle class families that need child care, in order for working parents to be able to work. Because this area is growing, there is a great need for continued services and a great ability to increase enrollments and revenue as well as expand to new locations.
The Management Team
The management team will consist of Cynthia M and Bill V.
Cynthia has experience in the child care industry that dates back to 1989. Her experience as a teacher and a director, lead her to owning her own child care center, since 1999. Her business and industry knowledge has lead to increased enrollments and profits, from the very start. Cynthia is an expert in the area of State Licensing, Education, and has the knowledge of what parents want, and need. She also has exhibited the ability to manage a staff, successfully, keeping them focused in the right directions. For several years Cynthia's center has been in high demand and at capacity, therefore maintaining a consistent waiting list. Due to the increasing demands for child care and the increase in the number of parents that seek the educational, fun, and safe environment that Cynthia offers, she is seeking to serve a greater number of children.
The company will also be lead by Bill Vitto, who has a sales, marketing, and management background. Over his career, Bill has been involved in senior management of many multi-million dollar corporations. He has a history of increasing business revenue and enhancing the bottom line through the use of his superb management, marketing, and budgeting skills. He has experience in locating and targeting potential customers, and is an expert at identifying the needs of the consumer, therefore he can assist in managing the profit of the centers, by insuring that the centers are providing the consumers with their necessities. Bill has been involved in managing fortune 500 businesses and has the experience needed in the financial and administrative areas, as well.
These centers are an exciting opportunity that provides safe, educational, and secure child care to the Corona, CA neighborhood. The centers are already profitable, yet we will increase profits by increasing the number of children enrolled, therefore increasing revenue. Through a combination of well-priced services, outstanding customer service, and a well seasoned management team, we will sustain market share. The centers already have a reputation as a premier child care provider in the market.
