A small canister with a nylon bag to keep millions of distressed boats from sinking until help arrives. Kept in the storage locker on boats 20-40 feet, this emergency canister opens to expose a CO2 tank which fills a nylon 40 cubic foot bag in under 2 minutes to keep the boat afloat. Two or more canisters will keep longer boats afloat.
We want to not just get the Coast Guard approval but we are hoping, since there are 500 drownings from boat sinkings and 4500 accidents in recreational boating, that we are could it required on all boats like fire extinguishers are, which would be about 7 million registered boat owners.
We have filed our patent, and our next is stop production. We have one manufacturer to go, and the storing, assenbling and shipping has been arranged.
