Description: InspireMed Solutions was founded in August of 2012 while a TCU student named Devon Zielinski was shadowing a Cardiologist in Fort Worth, TX during his senior year at Texas Christian University. The Cardiologist complained about the mandated Electronic Medical Record (EMR) daily, and he could see how him and the other physicians struggled with EMR. He had dreamed of one day becoming a doctor, however with physicians he looked up to telling him to not even to bother going to medical school thanks to EMR, it hurt, and really impacted him. Instead of bringing him down and accepting reality, he decided to do something about it. He brought up the idea of simplifying the EMR with an iOS overlay to a business professor of his (who happened to be a retired physician), and he loved it so much he dedicated a class project solely to my idea. Devon was blown away to say the least! Throughout this incredible journey of idea to now concept, we have received interest from physicians and hospitals around the United States, and have established or have been working on partnerships with Nuance, Google, PSA, Epic, Adonit, Fuseproject, NMEMS Japan, and Xerox Health Care. In order to help medical experts deal with the EMR in a simple, interactive way, InspireMed Solutions was born. The software behind InspireMed Solutions consists of three distinct, but integrated platforms, inScribe, VitalSense, and DataSense. Below are descriptions of inScribe, VitalSense, and DataSense: inScribe: inScribe is an EMR overlay based on the HL7 communication language, allowing it to be used on any EMR database. inScribe simplifies the patient information access and input process and allows medical experts to either type, voice-dictate, or write, on a tablet, comfortably in front of the patient. Information between the tablet and EMR system constantly sync in real-time. VitalSense: Working with Fuseproject, the team behind the Scanadu Scout, the worlds first "tricorder", VitalSense allows a patient's vitals to be recorded digitally within 10 seconds. A patient login on inscribe allows the patient to type in demographic, insurance, prescription, and other basic needed information. The information is saved onto the EMR and every other InspireMed connected device thanks to DataSense. DataSense: DataSense is a data ecosystem within inScribe that takes all data from the EMR ecosystem, standardizes it, and streams it wirelessly to all subscribers in our service. DataSense also allows the opportunity for patients vitals to be taken digitally and sent straight to the EMR. No paper, no nurses, no problem. With DataSense, doctors can see real-time data like never before, including but not limited to: general trends in the our network's medical data and more importantly specific trending of diseases and symptoms of the patient's specific demographic and other pertinent measurements. We have a 10 person engineering team who has built the code; we have established hospital connections from across the US; and have attained the proper IP lawyers and Washington DC lobbyists (they are ready when needed). We are looking for the ideal financial partner to truly change the healthcare ecosystem.
