(URL removed) is a website that connects consumers who need work done with service professionals. Workpost is simple and free. No basic membership costs or elaborate sign-up process. No bidding system. No commissions, finder or transaction fees to draw from profits. The focus of (URL removed) is on work: Freelance work, short or long term. Contract jobs. Home improvement, maintenance or repair. It’s free to post and free to use. All that is needed to sign-up, post work, and reply to posts is a username and working e-mail address.
Launched in early July, the new Workpost Pro Directory lists service providers and helps them reach potential clients and customers. Since listings are controlled at the account level by the service provider, information can be updated at any time as business evolves. Directory members are also available to be reviewed by other Workpost users. To help pros deal with difficult clients and bad reviews, the Workpost Directory has a built-in response/rebuttal system that helps ensure fair, balanced assessments of work completed.
How can Workpost make money? The short answer is that there are many ways to generate revenue and create value when a site is popular and useful. While ads are certainly one option, they are not the only way. For now, we intend to give away as much as we can for free and the more people who are posting, searching and using Workpost, the more services we will be able to add in the future. Services that go beyond our core will likely cost money to utilize, but we plan to always keep our core services free.
