Center for Restorative Practice was founded in San Rafael CA in 1990 by a group of public sector and non-profit leaders who were concerned about the families of high risk children and the systems that treat them. Hoping to reduce out-of-home placement and improve family outcomes, they formed the organization to develop integrated systems and strategies for collaboration between families and professionals; between public agencies and private providers.
