Silky saw products were first introduced to the U.S. market in the year 2000. In 2005, SilkyUSA LLC was created in order to expand wholesale and e-commerce sales. Over the past four years, we have been working to create, develop and implement multiple sales and marketing projects for the Silky business in the North American marketplace. As a result, our sales have grown from $500,000 in 2005 to almost $2 million in 2008. We have expanded our customer base from 25 customers to more than 350 customers in 2008. Due to this fast growth and operating financial constraints (pre-payment terms), the business is facing the necessity of bringing outside capital to sustain growth and meet increasing product demand. Being that SilkyUSA was a Limited Liability Company, we were unable to bring outside investors into the business. As a result, Silky America Corporation was created in September 2008.
