Lotus Pond Spa opened November 2013, and whilst the spa is a new entity for Ms Afreen Shah, Managing Director, she been conducting business in the United Arab Emirates and Internationally for over 22 years and is held in very high esteem. Ms Shah has personally handpicked the management personnel of the spa division of her corporation. The main criteria for the selection of the management was that they held internationally accredited qualifications, have start up and corporate experience within the Spa industry and have a minimum of 20 years industry experience.
Since opening the doors in November, the spa has doubled the revenue month on month as well as increasing market awareness. With any new business the most difficult aspect of the business development is creating awareness of the brand. The management team are fully aware how important it is to get the name out in the market place. Lotus Pond Spa future developments are in chain expansions to include leisure resorts with a focus on Golf resorts, airports as well as stand only spa internationally using the Dubai spa as a template with regards to décor, treatments and products. This concept will also be carried through to an establishment of Lotus Pond Spa training academy.
