Salient Technology Systems is founded on the principle of small businesses helping small businesses. Salient Technology Systems looks to provide local small businesses with affordable customized technology solutions. Salient Technology Systems is a small, locally owned software and mobile application development start-up founded to assist other local small businesses an affordable way to take advantage of the growing trend in app development for increasing their business exposure and increasing their customer base. Technology services are a growth industry and mobile application development is at the forefront with the proliferation of mobile devices-smart phones, tablets, etc.-The need exists for small businesses to be able to have an affordable way to take advantage of the mobile technology revolution and to have the means to acquire a truly custom-built solution for their specific business as a means to reach out to current customers, increase exposure, and increase their revenues. Currently looking to incorporate as an LLC to gain further legitimacy and help start building business credit stature.
The core philosophy behind Salient Technology Systems is dedication to client service and satisfaction. We want to build relationships based on mutual respect and not merely sell a product or a service. We do not want clients…we want partners…friends. Our core company strength is the dedication to developing personal relationships with clients. I am currently a software engineering student and this business is a way for me to put those skills to use. However I don’t profess to know everything there is to know about the industry. I do however have a solid network of skilled professionals with knowledge in a variety of areas of software design and development that can be of assistance when required. I also bring to the business a solid background of technical experience of working with complex DOD electronic and computer systems to include advanced network weapon systems, Biological Detection Systems, and flight simulator/training systems.
Salient Technology Systems is my longtime vision and my goal is to make it a premier software development company. But enough of my vision…I’ll tell you about the man behind the vision. My lovely wife Laura and I currently live in Tumwater, Washington which is located in the Olympia area. I am a student currently working on my BS in Software Systems Engineering. I currently work as a civilian contractor for the Air Force. My current duties have me working on Joint Base Lewis-McChord supporting USAF C-17 maintenance training and flight simulators. I also worked part-time for Flight Safety International for just over a year at their Seattle Learning Center as a flight simulator technician. I served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve. I spent 3 years on active duty as a MP. I got out and eventually went back into the USAR to finish out my reserve obligation as a NBC Decon Specialist and then later re-classed as a Cable Systems Installation/Maintenance Specialist. I also have a background in the financial services industry as a financial advisor.
