The invention is the primary objective of JD Products, LLC. One of the inventions is introduced below, and currently, we are looking for an opportunity to manufacture and market this innovative new product throughout the world:
A durable utility scale Wind/Solar Hybrid (WSH) electricity generator was invented, and an international patent application was filed. The objective of the invention is to convert the wind energy into electricity 3 to 5 times more effectively than the conventional propeller driven wind turbine electricity generators. The WSH technology has the following advantages over the convention wind turbine electricity generator:
a. Our WSH technology does not employ propellers. Propeller technology splits the wind energy into lateral and forward energy. The forward energy is absorbed by the tower structural bending that is a waste of energy. Only the lateral energy is used to generate the electricity. The WSH technology converts almost 100 % of the total wind energy into electricity.
b. WSH technology consists of many modules. Each module generates electricity by itself from the wind blowing at its altitude. Since the wind speed has a profile that varies as the altitude changes, each module will generate different amounts of electricity at each module. All the different amounts of electricity generated at each module at their altitudes are summed up at the base.
c. WSH technology eliminates the need of tracking the wind blowing direction, and thus removes the necessity of Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) and Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter (ADV) wind direction measurement activities.
d. WSH technology application reduces or eliminates the burden of balancing a large bending moment, which is an inherent encumbrance of propeller technology.
e. WSH technology provides an inherent property that electricity can be generated from the wind blowing in any direction without requiring any maneuver in yaw.
f. WSH technology has a safety feature that protects the WSH structure against destructive wind.
g. Analysis has shown that WSH generator generates electricity at least 3 times more effectively than the conventional propeller driven wind turbine electricity generator, which will be verified during prototype testing.
h. WSH technology offers an option of installing solar panels at the top of the structure for additional electricity generation capacity.
i. WSH technology reduces the production, installation, operation, and maintenance costs more effectively than the propeller technology can.
j. WSH energy conversion has a structural advantage that it can be installed on a flat surface of an ocean barge, which enables generating electricity in an open sea where more wind energy is available. This will be virtually invisible from the land; therefore there will be no aesthetic impact.
