(Phone # removed)Peace be unto you!
This letter is being submitted to you as a request for your financial partnership with Army Of GOD Ministriez! We are a 501c3 non-profit IRS tax-exempt organization dedicated to doing our part collectively to rebuild many of the lower income neighborhoods and communities within Houston, TX. We recently received our exempt status with the IRS and have already started working to establish various community programs and initiatives designed to created jobs in lower income areas, beautify each community, and develop stronger social, financial, and professional bonds between residents and corporations. We are connected locally with The Christian Fellowship Center Church located at 10009 Homestead to carry out our efforts, planning, and organizational meetings. Our goals are set! Our vision is clear! Our strategies are secure! We are focused on positive change!
The reason we are writing you is to ask you to partner with us in bringing change to so many communities here in this city! Our non-profit status qualifies us to do much and obtain various federal resources set aside to help organizations such as ours. However, after comprehensive research, we have found that the programs and goals we are striving to implement are not conducive with the qualifications set aside in many of the grants offered from the federal agencies. This is where we need your financial partnership! We will be able to be more effective in bringing about positive changes with private and public donations than we can with federal resources. We also will be less restrictive as to what needs we can meet, yet, still be held 100% accountable! Two of the programs we are currently working to establish are:
1. The FelWorx Program
Purpose: To provide jobs and skills for residents in local communities who have been charged with felony convictions, yet, are sincerely striving to reestablish a place in the workforce.
Action: Keep communities clean and free of debris as well as landscaping and ongoing maintenance of delinquent lots and areas in each neighborhood.
Result: Reduce crime in neighborhoods and communities by providing employment for those who cannot obtain employment in fields that require occupational licensing as well as provide a sense of pride and responsibility for the neighborhood and community.
Budget: 5 year estimated cost is $5,700,000 which includes the purchase of operational site (5,000 square feet) for $530,000; standard operational cost and supplies need by workers to perform assigned task; salaries for 40 residents initially at a cost of $25,000 annually with included insurance benefits.
2. After School MNM’S
***Operational acronym for Mathematics (all Academics), Nurturing (Guidance and Mentorship), Music (all Fine Arts), & Sports (Discipline and Motivation)***
Purpose: To provide an after school tutorial and mentoring program for at-risk youth and young adults assisting them with academic deficits; to help provide skills and strategies that will inspire the youth to want to succeed in life.
Additional Purpose: To show the youth the importance of self discipline in accomplishing goals and aspirations.
Action: Youth will receive assistance with academic subjects and homework assignments as well as gain a solid understanding of music through sight reading and instrumental performance from qualified instructors.
Youth will also be involved in a variety of sports such as football, basketball, baseball, boxing, martial arts, soccer, and volleyball in an indoor facility. Professional athletes and other motivational speakers will be incorporated into the program for motivation and inspiration as well as field trips to professional sports activities.
Result: To provide a safe environment for youth to come to after school and receive positive guidance and mentoring and to help each youth develop into a productive citizen that will give back in various ways to his/her community.
Budget: Initial estimate of $9,300,000 which includes the purchase and remodeling of 129,000 square foot building; facility installation of indoor football, soccer field, basketball and volleyball courts, boxing ring, martial arts studio, batting cages, indoor pitching and fielding areas, dancing studio and classrooms for academics, music and mentoring programs.
We are asking for donations between $10,000 to $50,000 per request. If that range is too high or low for you, please feel free to donate your best towards these causes! In return, for every donation we receive, we will promptly issue out a letter of thanks and a full page receipt from Army Of GOD Ministriez which can be used to file with your taxes. Enclosed is a copy of the exemption letter from the IRS. Please make cash donations payable to Army of GOD Ministriez via Chase Bank account #880801469. After we receive your donation, we will provide you with a receipt for your records. Non-cash donations can also be accepted should you feel the need to donate other items of value towards our cause. Receipts for non-cash donations will contain a fair market assessment of the value of each item for financial reporting records. All donations can be filed with taxes per section 501(c)(3) as taxable write-off donations. We are very thankful for your partnership and assistance in these initiatives! May you greatly experience continued success in every positive endeavor you set forth your hands to do!
Respectfully yours,
