Description:
Karma Designs was established in 2002 under the vision of Neal Tucker. While Neal attended Central High School, he envisioned an innovative clothing line for people of all ages. Neal needed a name that would be catchy and original for his clothing line. After tossing many ideas around he came up with the name Karma Designs which represents the old phrase “What Goes Around Comes Around.”
Neal was looking for a design that could fully capture what Karma Designs represented. After weeks of coming up with different designs, he established the circle K design. This design is the most notable out of the 30 designs Karma Designs owns the rights to. Initially, all clothing made by Karma Designs was designed with paint, but over the past few years, Karma Designs has expanded to embroidery, silk screening, and many other applications.
Over the past years, Karma Designs has had tremendous growth. This growth in business is attributed to Neal Tucker’s personal growth. Neal decided to attend Salisbury University in the fall of 2003 as a Graphic Arts major. This allowed Karma Designs to expand to areas outside of the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. This transition allowed Neal to expand his clientele base as well as the executive team.
In order to advance the clothing line Karma Designs decided to advance their women’s clothing line. They needed a catchy name for the new and inventive ladies line, so Lady Karma was born. Lady Karma has begun a revolution to change the face of women’s urban roots. Delmarva Times was quoted as describing Lady Karma as an “edgy clothing line with DC Urban roots that mixes urban fashion with unique couture.
Karma Designs started out as an urban dress down line. Over the time Karma has established a “Grown and Sexy Line” as well as a “Night Wear Line.” Karma Designs can dress you no matter the occasion. Karma Designs has promoted heavily with tie-ins to family, local athletes, High Schools, and Universities. Due to the high demand of Karma Designs across the country, Karma Designs has expanded their executive staff and street team.
