Description:
Cessan Cinema is an Indepandant film company owned by me, Cecille Manson. I have made one succesful short film that played at 11 film festivals. It got an honorable mention at Berlin film festival and Best of Arizona-prize at the Arizona film festival.
Now I have written a long feature film that I would like to be animated. It's an unique story for grown-ups about a gypsie-girl and a glassblower who falls in love with eachother set in the 19th century in Sweden. She can sing in very high pitched beautiful tones and sings in her family's circus, but she develops a "singing-block" and can only sing when the glassblower is around. He blows glass that is ahead of its time and therefore he has a hard time selling them. He's made 7 glass-pieces that symbolize their love for eachother, life together and the story how they met. These seven pieces are magically connected because the 7th piece is made out of the 6 others. Because he's haunted from a dark past, he feels he's forced to sell them. As he's selling them one by one, each piecs shows the story behind it. The couple draws further apart as he's selling them until they are forever seperated by his death. Now she must learn how to live without him. She goes on a journey to find herself and to heal from the sorrow of his death. Everytime she gets better, one glas-piece is returned to her until all the 7 are back with her, and she feels better about herself and can now sing wherever she goes. The movie ends by showing that she's pregnant. She got pregnant with her husband before he died.
I have found an animator who will put together the whole movie for me for $40 000 and the look will be like Tim Burton's "A Nightmare Before X-mas"
