Description: Latest Update: 3-23-09 We are looking for investors that will help us commercialize the technology for algae to become the feedstock of choice for biodiesel worldwide. We understand that as investors, you are taking the risk, and we appreciate that fact. We want you to make money as well as our company. We are applying for several grants from DOE and USDA. We need matching funds for some of these grants. We are also looking for a lease purchase agreement for our $25 million biodiesel plant. We are looking into additional, long term commitments (Pay or Take) for our biodiesel - power company and several large manufacuters. If we are successful in aquiriring the matching funds and grants, then we will start up a 30 mmgy biodiesel plant using soy oil, wvo, tallow, etc. When the algae oil begins production we have an additional revenue stream for it. Southern Biodiesel Business Proposal The following project is not in Savannah, Ga. We have partnered with a group developing algae for biolip oil (organic, biodiesel, cosmetics, etc.)on a large scale basis. They have a lease on property with infrastructure worth $8 million and a contract for $4.5 million in biolipid oil. There process is ready to go into operation after 8 years of research and development. They require $6 million to move forward with the project. Projected 5 year cumulative net profit will be $15 million. They have layed out expansion plans that will have 5 times the production of the currently leased property. This technology will be repoduceable all over the world. Southern Biodiesel will be the biodiesel refiner for the algae group. We will need our own funding to setup production and processing facilities. We intend to process small batches untill biolipid oil production is large enough to scale up to a larger continuous flow biodiesel plant. Our production plant will cost between $1 and $5 million. Proposed Location: Savannah, Ga. Port Introduction Southern Biodiesel (SB) is a group of entrepreneurs interested in the development of a biodiesel production facility in the Georgia Port of Savannah or Brunswick.
