Description:
(URL removed) was launched on July 1st, 2008. Any child, in any part of the world with access to a working computer with internet access, between the ages of 5 to 15 years old, can become a kid correspondent through the submission of text or video news. The core kids group, works as a team to ensure articles written and submitted by kids, are properly researched, edited and published on the website. Kids submit news on a website where all news posted is submitted by Kid Correspondents. Kids are given the opportunity to communicate and share their social cultures, local news stories, world news, special interests, charitable giving and community service globally.
(URL removed) is looking for funding as we grow the service offering to kids around the world. We are devolping additional layers to the website. One of which is catered to children with special challenges, such as autism, cancers, sickle cell and other challenges. The site will allow kids with Challenges to build a community where they too can creatively express themselves on a safe platform. A breakout site is being developed for Parents of children with special needs and challenges. This community building site will allow the adults to interact and build a community that supports needs and challenges they face with families around the world.
Lastly, we are deloping a layer of the website that will allow kids around the world to build a virtual interactive environment, using the Avatar principle. Kids will build their own news room around the world, and report news using a virtual character that looks like and represents the individual child. They will be able to play games, broadcast news and participate in kid safe and kid fun games and entertainment, with the use of their virtual character and environment.
