Viking provides participating business owners (member/ participants) with optional financing, affordable insurance, sales and marketing support, as well as administrative services (billing, collections, customer service, group purchasing, etc.) and business consulting to help with operational and growth issues. Viking has implemented quality control standards and conducts ongoing training for member/participants. By providing this business infrastructure, Viking participants are free to focus on building core skills that will let them succeed.
Viking’s vision is to build a sustainable business that will help entrepreneurs succeed on a scale to maximize community empowerment through business ownership, job creation, and reinvestment. Viking’s long-term vision is that it will serve as a model for similar ventures in other business sectors (for example, security services, landscaping, etc.) in Houston and in other cities. The Viking Warrior Concept is not confined to the minority community – the model also benefits other low income communities where entrepreneurial drive is thwarted by a lack of core business skills.
Viking is setting new standards within the facility maintenance industry by being one of the first to offer EPA-approved products. Viking is finalizing a contactual agreeement with a major cleaning supply manufacturer for the production of a complete line of VikingGreenClean eco-friendly private label products.
